Lamu Fisherman (Kenya)

Lamu Fisherman (Kenya)

We took a trip to the mangroves of Lamu and had to catch our own lunch. It was the Tourist Vs the locals and we were up 2 fish close to dinner time when DJ jumped in and caught a fish with his bare hands so we had to call it a tie because that was amazing. I took this picture of him getting out the water with the fish.

Lamu moves at its own pace — where donkeys replace cars, dhow boats glide across the water, and tradition blends effortlessly with the ocean breeze. This moment captures that calm, cinematic stillness — a fleeting intersection of light, history, and culture.

Printed in large-format archival matte finish, this fine art piece brings warmth, depth, and coastal elegance into any space. Each print represents a lived experience — a real journey transformed into art you can return to every day.
